NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., May 7, 2019 – The AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach Auxiliary donated $40,000 to the AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach Foundation.
The volunteers raised these funds through various activities, such as sales in the lobby and gift shop.
The donation will support several projects at the New Smyrna Beach hospital, including a major emergency department renovation, as well as purchasing intensive care specialty beds and state-of-the-art interventional imaging technology.
“Our auxiliary is not only great group of volunteers, but they are a tremendous asset to our hospital and generous with their time and talents,” said Dr. Dennis Hernandez, AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach CEO. “Every year, they work hard to raise funds that go directly back to our hospital departments and benefit our community. We are thankful to have such a wonderful team of auxilians.”
