In observance of National Prostate Awareness Month, AdventHealth Gordon will offer free prostate cancer screenings on Wednesday, Sep. 25 from 4 to 5:30 pm at AdventHealth Medical Group Urology at Calhoun.
Men don’t often pay enough attention to their health, and one in nine men will get prostate cancer. It is a very real threat, but it’s important to know that if caught early, it can be cured. Doctors recommend that men between the ages 55 - 75 should be screened annually. African American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer should begin their annual screenings at age 40. The screening will consist of a free PSA lab draw and a digital rectal exam.
Limited space is available, and registration is required. To register for this free screening, please call Call706-879-5850.
