Shawn O'Keefe, DO

Shawn O’Keefe, DO, is an orthopedic surgeon with ten years of combined medical and clinical experience. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. O’Keefe completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and his fellowship in adult reconstruction at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston. His recent work focuses on robotic-assisted arthroplasty and complex joint reconstruction, and he has written multiple presentations and a peer-reviewed case report for JBJS Case Connector. Outside of medicine, he competed in cross-country and track, earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and continues to serve his community through sports physicals, science education programs, and interdisciplinary health fairs.

As an orthopedic surgeon specializing in total hip and knee replacement, including advanced techniques such as robotic-assisted surgery, my approach to care is centered around the individual. I emphasize and take pride in getting to know each patient on a personal level--understanding their lifestyle, goals, and concerns--so I can tailor their treatment plan accordingly. Whether surgical or non-surgical, every decision is made collaboratively, with the aim of restoring mobility, relieving pain, and helping each patient return to the life they love.
