Michael Lagoe, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Michael Lagoe, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a background in clinical practice and academic/clinical teaching. Michael earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Central Florida. He also earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Earlier in his career, he practiced at a neurology and pain management clinic in Daytona Beach, where he cared for patients with complex neurological and pain conditions. He went on to practice at a neurology clinic specialized in movement disorders, memory care, and headaches. His contributions to patient care and education have been evident through his contributions as a University of Central Florida College of Medicine Faculty member as well as serving as a clinical preceptor for the University of Central Florida College of Nursing, where he precepted nurse practitioner students and was also a guest lecturer.

I strive to take a holistic approach to care. By considering the whole patient and taking time to listen to the patient's concerns enables incorporation of these factors into the diagnostic reasoning process and the management plan. I like to integrate the patient's preferences and wishes into the care plan and individualize that plan to the patient's goal(s).
