Biography: Manuel Calcagno, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Calcagno received his medical degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana School of Medicine, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he graduated with honors. He completed his family medicine residency at Borinquen Health Care Centers in Miami, Florida, where he was awarded the Resident of the Year award during his second year and achieving the rank of Chief Resident during his last year. Before residency, Dr. Calcagno worked in clinical research for several years. A strong believer in a holistic approach to medicine, Dr. Calcagno emphasizes lifestyle modifications as the foundation for optimal health, recognizing the impact of habits, nutrition, exercise, and stress management in overall health. Dr. Calcagno is fluent in English and Spanish, and is now accepting new patients in Tampa, ages 12 and up.
