Henry Zheng, MD

Dr. Henry Zheng is a cardiac electrophysiologist based in Denver, Colorado, who is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology. He has a passion for treating complex arrhythmia management and advanced device therapies. Originally from Nanjing, China, he immigrated to the United States in 1997 and was raised in Denver, Colorado. He completed his undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering at Northwestern University, graduating cum laude, and earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed residency and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he received numerous teaching awards and conducted extensive research in cardiac arrhythmias. He then pursued subspecialty training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under the mentorship of Dr. N.A. Mark Estes III, where he served as chief fellow. Dr. Zheng performs catheter ablation for a wide range of arrhythmias and has a particular interest in ventricular arrhythmias. He is experienced in epicardial and bipolar VT ablation techniques and has ongoing research focused on VT outcomes, near-field mapping, and hybrid ablation approaches. In addition to ablation, he implants all forms of cardiac rhythm devices—including pacemakers, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous and extravascular ICDs. He also performs left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) with the Watchman device. Dr. Zheng believes in working closely with patients to design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans using the latest tools and technologies in electrophysiology. He is a co-author of a forthcoming textbook chapter on VT ablation in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Outside of work, Henry enjoys CrossFit, skiing, hiking national parks, and playing classical music. He lives in Denver with his wife and is thrilled to be practicing in the city he calls home.
