Womens Golf Group Donates Funds to Fight Breast Cancer

PALM COAST, Fla., April 17, 2018 On April 12, the Grand Reserve Ladies Golf Association donated $1,000 to the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundations breast cancer fund.

The group hosted their annual cancer awareness golf tournament on April 6 at the Grand Reserve Golf Club in Bunnell and wanted the proceeds to stay local.

In years past, we raised funds for a national breast cancer organization. However, everyone on our committee lives in Flagler County, and after one of our members had cancer treatment at Florida Hospital Flagler, we collectively decided to keep these funds local to support our neighbors in need who are also fighting breast cancer, said Judy Barefoot of the Grand Reserve Ladies Golf Association and co-chairwoman for the golf tournament.

We are so appreciative of the Grand Reserve Ladies Golf Association and their desire to support our local patients, said John Subers, director of the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation. This generous contribution will help ladies and men fight breast cancer right here at home.
