Shawnee Mission Health (SMH) welcomes Katie Lorentz, MD, Aleksandra (Ola) Siwkiewicz, MD, and Elizabeth Volk, MD, to Shawnee Mission Primary Care (SMPC). Each physician will serve patients at an SMPC location in Johnson County.
Dr. Lorentz is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. Dr. Lorentz was a resident at the University of Minnesota, where she served as an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Resident Physician for four years. She most recently was a staff physician, specializing in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, at Kaiser Permanente in Vallejo, California and Santa Clara, California. Dr. Lorentz will see patients at SMPC - Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Leawood.
Dr. Siwkiewicz is Board-certified in Family Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine. She graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland. Dr. Siwkiewicz was a resident at Cedar Rapids Medical Education Foundation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she served as a Family Medicine Resident Physician for three years. She was the Family Medicine Chief Resident for one year in 2015. Dr. Siwkiewicz will work at SMPC - Lenexa.
Dr. Volk graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh. She is Board-certified in Family Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine and has practiced for nearly three decades. Dr. Volk will see patients at the newest SMPC location, SMPC - Prairie Village, at 7301 Mission Road, Suite 320.
