DELAND, Fla., May 2, 2018 AdventHealth DeLand has selected Janet Kent to serve as director of rehabilitation, wellness and diabetes services.
Kent has nearly 50 years of professional experience as a speech-language pathologist and 40 years of experience as a director of rehabilitation programs in hospitals and nursing homes.
Most recently, Kent served as a speech-language pathologist at AdventHealth DeLand, specializing in treating swallowing disorders, traumatic brain injuries, neurological disorders, and patients with tracheostomies or on respirators.
A New Smyrna Beach resident, Kent earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the State University at New Paltz, New York and a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Florida. In addition, Kent has completed more than 1,100 hours of professional education.
