Recognizing the need to bring quality, whole person care closer to communities, the AdventHealth Center for Interventional Endoscopy (CIE) recently expanded services from the flagship location at AdventHealth Orlando to AdventHealth Celebration in Osceola County.
CIE bridges the gap between endoscopy and surgery. With innovative technology and expertise, the CIE provide endoscopic solutions to a wide array of problems affecting pancreas, gallbladder, liver and entire gastrointestinal tract - removing the need for invasive surgery, while still achieving the desired outcomes in a safe way for the patient.
“Ensuring our community has access to advanced, personalized care is a commitment we are proud to uphold for Osceola County residents,” said Margaret White, vice president of the AdventHealth Digestive Health Institute. “This expansion raises the bar for digestive health care in the region. The Center for Interventional Endoscopy is among the world leaders in providing state-of-the-art digestive care, and we’re excited to expand access to that care to even more people.”
The world-class team of six highly skilled interventional gastroenterologists now offer a handful of new procedures to the Osceola County community, including:
- Endoscopic mucosal resection
- Endoscopic sub-mucosal dissection
- Endoscopic full thickness resection
- Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
- Endoscopic Zenker’s septotomy
- Enteral stenting
- Small bowel enteroscopy
“We are focused on providing minimally invasive procedures when it is an option,” said Dr. Deepanshu Jain, who helped lead the CIE expansion in Celebration. “Our team tailors’ treatment to a patient’s specific needs and involves them in the decision-making process. These minimally invasive alternatives lead to a better quality of life in the long term.”
U.S. News & World Report recently ranked six specialties ranked as “high performing,” including gastroenterology and GI surgery.
The AdventHealth Digestive Health Institute is also home to one of the largest interventional endoscopy centers in the U.S. and holds multiple accreditations for subspecialty programs, bringing world-class care to the community. Specialists work together to deliver comprehensive care to treat a spectrum of conditions— from swallowing disorders to inflammatory bowel disease treatment and everything in between.
The AdventHealth CIE at Celebration is located at 400 Celebration Place, Celebration. The office number is Call407-303-2570; choose option 1 for scheduling. For more information visit our website at www.AdventHealthCIE.com.
