PALM COAST, Fla., December 18, 2017 On Dec. 5, Florida Hospital Flagler celebrated the lighting of its Light of Love tree which honors and remembers loved ones within the community.
Community members joined Florida Hospital Flagler for its 28th annual Light of Love celebration at the hospitals south entrance. The Matanzas High School chorus performed and let the crowd in singing Let there be Peace on Earth.
Florida Hospital Flagler's 20-foot Christmas tree is lit by 1,000 tiny lights that represent loved ones, remembered and honored during the holiday season. For a $5 donation, community members write the name of a loved one in a Light of Love book that is on display throughout the holiday season.
This event is a fundraiser by the Florida Hospital Flagler auxiliary and the funds support patient care at the Palm Coast hospital.
Florida Hospital Flagler's Light of Love program began in 1989 and has become a holiday tradition to honor and remember loved ones.
