Meagan Hibberts, RN, has been named AdventHealth Redmond’s latest DAISY Award recipient. This award is part of the DAISY Foundation's program to recognize the extraordinary tasks nurses perform every day.
Hibberts, an inpatient rehab nurse at AdventHealth Redmond, was nominated by two coworkers who said the following:
“Meagan cares deeply about everyone she is around — whether they are co-workers or patients, she wants to make sure they are cared for. One weekend, a patient wanted to watch his church service online but was having difficulty accessing it, so she went out of her way to assist him and ensure he could watch without missing the service.”
“Recently, Meagan led the effort to make it possible for one of the rehab patients to attend his wife’s funeral. Working together, the entire rehab team was able to assist with this endeavor. When asked about this incredible ask of service and love, Meagan stated how she was just doing her job.”
If you or a loved one have been a patient at AdventHealth Redmond and would like to nominate an extraordinary nurse for the DAISY Award, please call Call706-802-3713.
