Gordon Hospital will be hosting a Ladies Tea at the Harris Radiation Therapy Center on Tuesday, October 18 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual health observance to increase the awareness of the disease. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer to develop in women in the United States besides skin cancer. Increasing the awareness of this disease will lead to more cases of early detection, improvements in treatment, and more tests and research to attempt to find a cure.
Afternoon tea will be served as well as other light refreshments. Gordon Hospitals very own healthcare providers will be speaking on different areas of breast cancer awareness including screening, breast cancer care, and treatment.
The event is free and open to the community. Registration is not required. For more information on Ladies Tea, please call Call706-879-5850.
