In medical emergency situations, patients clothing may become soiled or need to be cut off, leaving the patient without proper clothing when they are discharged. Unfortunately, not all patients have friends or family they can call on to bring them clothing. This is why Gordon Hospital has made a promise that no patient will be discharged without the appropriate clothing they need.
Gordon Hospital employees organized a clothing drive. Clothing for all seasons was donated. In total, two boxes of sweatshirts, one box of sweatpants, two boxes of t-shirts, two boxes of coats and jackets, one box of men's shirts, one box of pants, and one box of shorts were donated to the clothing drive.
Retha McRay and Rhonda Martin, both employees of Gordon Hospital, led the clothing drive project.
I am blessed to work with such kind people at Gordon Hospital, said Martin. They truly made the clothing drive a success, and we are so thankful for them. The donations will be used to ensure that those less fortunate have a warm change of clothes and jacket to leave in.
