Gordon Hospital invites the public to attend the annual Circle the Hospital in Prayer event held on Thursday, May 5 in observance of the National Day of Prayer.
Circle the Hospital in Prayer is organized by the Gordon Hospital Christian Service Committee. The event is meant to bring together those in the community who believe in prayer as well as to further Gordon Hospitals mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ to all they serve.
Between 11:45 am and 12:25 pm participants will be asked to form prayer pods along the prayer chalk line to form a continuous circle around the hospital. Upon arrival, each person will be asked to pray from their hearts or pray the prayer from the card provided by the chaplain. Public service sirens will sound at 12:30 pm to begin prayer. Then at 12:33 pm, public service sirens will sound again to signal the end of the mass prayer.
In case of inclement weather, Circle the Hospital in Prayer will be moved inside the hospital.
