WEST VOLUSIA, Fla., March 24, 2017 Florida Hospital DeLand and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial have jointly selected Lita Kapuscinski to serve as director of business development for the two Florida Hospital facilities in West Volusia County.
In this role, Kapuscinski will be responsible for driving growth and increasing program volumes at both Florida Hospital DeLand and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. In addition, she will help the two facilities reach beyond the hospital walls and partner with community organizations within West Volusia.
Kapuscinski has 22 years of healthcare experience and has served at Florida Hospital DeLand for nine years, most recently as director of rehabilitation, diabetes, and wellness services. In this role, she was responsible for each of these departments at the 164-bed facility in DeLand, as well as outpatient services at Victoria Medical Park and Stetson University.
She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine and athletic training and earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. Additionally, she received certification in Lean Methods for Healthcare at Johns Hopkins Medicine which provides tools and techniques to identify and eliminate waste in health care delivery processes.
A DeLand resident, Kapuscinski works closely with several local community organizations, including serving on the board of directors for the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA. In addition, Kapuscinski has led several internal programs to assist various community programs, including the House Next Door and sport physicals for student athletes at DeLand High School.
