The Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation Board of Directors has appointed April Kauffman to serve as Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation President. Kauffman began her career with the Foundation in 1998 as Director of Development and later assumed responsibilities for Volunteer Services and the Gift Shop. April is an incredible leader for the Foundation, said David Ottati, President and Chief Executive Officer, Florida Hospital Waterman. Through her many years of experience with Florida Hospital Waterman, April has been committed to the mission and values of our organization, and we look forward to her continued success in her new role leading the Foundation. Kauffman has achieved many notable accomplishments during her time with The Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation including helping to lead three successful capital campaigns totaling $13 million to build the Florida Hospital Waterman Cancer Institute and the Florida Hospital Waterman Heart Center. Prior to joining The Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation, Kauffman worked as the Division Director for the American Heart Association in Orlando. She has more than 27 years of combined fundraising development and marketing management experience representing large healthcare and government organizations and affiliates of national charitable organizations. April is a natural leader and has a passion for people and the community, said Foundation Chair Janice Epaillard. We are lucky to have such a driven and compassionate person as our Foundation President and I am confident she will flourish in her new role. Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation is a wonderful organization and I appreciate the opportunity to lead this team, said Kauffman. I feel so fortunate to have been part of the Foundations growth for the last 19 years and look forward to a bright and prosperous future as we continue to secure charitable gifts for the benefit of the community Florida Hospital Waterman serves. Kauffman has a bachelors degree in Communications from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. She and her husband of 21 years, Scott, are the proud parents of two daughters.
