Florida Hospital Flagler Honors US Military on Veterans Day

PALM COAST, Fla., November 21, 2016 On Veterans Day, Florida Hospital Flagler found a special way to recognize the servicemen and women of the U.S. military.

The Palm Coast hospital teamed-up with the Palm Coast United Methodist Church to create cards for the nation's troops. Hospital employees and visitors created nearly 300 cards which will be sent to Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait during the Christmas season.

In addition, Florida Hospital Flagler turned a light in the cafeteria green as part of Wal-Mart Stores Inc's Greenlight a Vet campaign which strives to visibly support America's veterans.

Our country's veterans are some of the bravest, hardest-working men and women. When they are back home and out of uniform, they can feel more camouflaged than ever. The simple gesture of changing one light to green the color of hope, renewal and well-being creates a beacon of support and appreciation, and a visible symbol of our commitment to veterans as valued members of our communities, said Dr. Ron Jimenez, Florida Hospital Flagler CEO.
