ORANGE CITY, Fla., October 18, 2016 In partnership with the Love Your Shorts Film Festival, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial will host a student film competition to inspire youth grades five through 12 to use the video media platform as a creative outlet to tell positive, life-affirming stories and build a healthy community.
The theme of Florida Hospital Fish Memorials student film festival is centered on the eight principles of CREATION Life, an acronym for: Choice, Rest, Environment, Activity, Trust, Interpersonal relationships, Outlook and Nutrition. CREATION Lifeis a lifestyle transformation program which was created to help people reach their goals and live a full and complete life. This program teaches others how to improve their overall health and wellbeing.
All film submissions should be at least three minutes long, but no longer than 10 minutes.
All key production crew and lead actors must be students. Adults may appear in the film, but cannot be lead characters.
There is no cost to submit a film to the Florida Hospital Fish Memorial student film competition and submissions are due Dec. 31, 2016.
Films should be submitted as an MP4 or .MOV file on either DVD or a USB Jump Drive. All projects should be submitted to: Florida Hospital Fish Memorial, Marketing and Public Relations department, Attn: Student Film Festival, 1060 Medical Center Drive, Suite 205, Orange City, FL 32763.
The top five films will be screened during the Love Your Shorts Film Festival February 9-12, 2017, in Sanford, Florida. Each of the top winners will receive $100 in Best Buy gift cards.
