When a Flagler County surgeon was invited to share his team’s expertise on robotic surgery on a global stage, it wasn’t just a personal honor. It was proof that world-class care doesn’t just happen in major cities; it is happening in Flagler County.
Dr. Abubaker Ali of AdventHealth Palm Coast and AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway represented Flagler County at the prestigious Robotic Surgery Collaboration Summit, hosted by Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. There, medical leaders from around the world gathered to learn about cutting-edge advancements in robotic surgery.
“It felt great to put our work on the map,” Ali shared. “This is a proud accomplishment for our entire team and a wonderful way to highlight what is possible when innovation meets dedication.”
During his presentation, Ali focused on how AdventHealth Palm Coast launched a 24/7 robotic surgery program in just seven days – a feat that impressed attendees from across the globe.
This program ensures patients have access to state-of-the-art surgical care around the clock, day or night, and has already performed over 1,300 procedures, ranging from routine operations to complex, lifesaving emergency surgeries.
Robotic surgery isn’t just high-tech – it’s high-impact. It reduces recovery times, improves outcomes, and ensures every patient gets the best care possible, no matter when they walk through the door.
“For our team, this is about equity of care,” Ali explained. “Every patient deserves access to the most advanced surgical options, regardless of whether it is 2 pm or 2 am.”
