Mark Bramblett was awarded Gordon Hospitals prestigious Extra Mile Award. Bramblett is a paramedic at Gordon EMS.
This special award was created by members of the hospitals Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to deserving employees selected by the hospitals directors.
Donald Bowen, deputy director of Gordon EMS, nominated Bramblett with the following words: Mark is a lifelong resident of Gordon County, and his commitment to his profession and community is second-to-none. He has a genuine love for Gordon Hospital and Gordon EMS. He does so much to help in their growth. Mark is a trainer and a teacher with instructor credentials in almost every EMS class available, but where he goes the extra mile is when he teaches classes on his own time in order make our service and hospital stronger. He teaches CPR classes to businesses and organizations in the community with little-to-no compensation. He also takes time out of his schedule every year to teach a 2-month long recertification class to all EMS and fire staff for everyone to keep their certification. Marks servant attitude and demeanor makes him very deserving of this award.
There have been many great recipients of this award in the past and to be counted among them is truly an honor, said Bramblett. When you love what you do and are passionate about it, going the extra mile is the norm. Our mission is Christ-centered, and I strive to live out our mission daily in all that I do.
Outside of his profession, Bramblett enjoys spending time with his family, attending church, traveling, reading, and outdoor activities, such as camping, fishing and hunting.
