Betty Berrett has been named AdventHealth Redmond’s latest Sunflower Award recipient. This award is a compliment of the DAISY Award and recognizes the incredible work done by someone in a non-nursing role that supports the nursing staff.
Berrett, an environmental services team member at AdventHealth Redmond, was nominated by seven coworkers. Here is an excerpt from some of the nominations:
“There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful team member and person Betty is. She goes above and beyond to make sure our area is clean and safe. She comes in early and stays late to ensure that our department is ready for our patients. She goes the extra mile to show her coworkers and patients they are special, loved and cared for. She always makes it a point to speak to everyone. She remembers birthdays and special events in people’s lives and personalizes her interactions with everyone – you know she truly cares about you. We appreciate her dedication and hard work in our fast-paced environment. Ms. Betty is a light to our department – she is just like family! We love her!”
If you or a loved one have been a patient at AdventHealth Redmond and would like to nominate an extraordinary non-nursing team member for the Sunflower Award, please call Call706-802-3713.
