With Hurricane Dorian approaching Florida, DeLand residents Kay Lisa McCloud and Anthony Davis welcomed a baby boy into the world and decided to name him after the storm.
Baby Tadashi Dorian Davis was born on Sept. 2 at 11:07 am at AdventHealth DeLand. Originally due on Sept. 14, baby Tadashi arrived at 4 pounds and 8 ounces and 18 inches.
“I was hoping he would wait until after the hurricane!” McCloud said. “This is a storm I definitely won’t forget.”
As the family heads home today, they are relieved to know their home is undamaged and they have electricity waiting for them.
