DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Audrey Gregory, who serves as president/CEO for AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division – North Region, has been recognized as one of Becker’s Healthcare’s Black Healthcare Leaders to Know for 2023.
In this role, Gregory leads the AdventHealth facilities in Volusia, Flagler and north Lake counties. She oversees the strategic direction, development and execution of key strategies that support the total network of care and builds influential relationships with key constituents, community partners and consumers.
“I’m honored to be recognized among this distinguished group of leaders from some of the country’s pre-eminent health care companies,” said Gregory.
Based in Altamonte Springs, AdventHealth is a connected system of care with the mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ. With more than 80,000 team members, AdventHealth is one of the nation’s largest faith-based health care systems with more than 50 hospitals and hundreds of care sites in nearly a dozen states.
The AdventHealth Central Florida Division - North Region is the largest hospital system in the area with more than 10,000 team members and facilities in Daytona Beach, DeLand, Orange City, New Smyrna Beach, Palm Coast and Tavares.
Prior to joining AdventHealth in 2021, Gregory served as the group chief executive officer for Detroit Medical Center (DMC), which is part of Tenet Health. DMC is a leading regional health care system that operates eight hospitals and institutes.
Gregory earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus in Savannah, Ga. She earned her doctorate in global leadership from Lynn University.
Gregory was also named to Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Women Leaders for 2022.
