PALM COAST, Fla., April 27, 2016 On April 22, Palm Coast nursery Hammock Gardens presented Florida Hospital HospiceCare with a check for $2,300. The funds were raised via the ninth annual Artists at the Gardens event from Feb. 27.
The Artists at the Gardens event features artwork from local professional artists and students from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind in St. Augustine. Event sales from the garden center and artists, as well as soup from neighboring JT's Seafood Shack, support the Florida Hospital Hospice Care's Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.
We have such a giving community and this is always such a great event that supports a great organization. There isn't a better organization out there in my mind, said Janine Fonseca, owner of Hammock Gardens.
Since 2006, Hammock Gardens has donated nearly $20,000 to Florida Hospital HospiceCare.
Located on the campus of Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast, the eight-bed Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House opened in 2007 and is the community's most comprehensive hospice, offering acute, respite, home health and continuous care. No other hospice in Flagler County offers all four services.
