Thousands of team members from Adventist Health System's corporate services and the AdventHealth campuses in Greater Orlando helped raise more than $590,000 for Heart of Florida United Way. The funds will help Heart of Florida United Way provide support and resources to dozens of programs and agencies that improve the health, education and financial stability of residents in Central Florida.
'We strive to make the communities we serve healthier and better places to live by fostering healing and hope inside and outside the walls of our hospitals,' said Terry Shaw, president/CEO for Adventist Health System. 'Partnering with Heart of Florida United Way enables us to support many outstanding community service agencies and initiatives that improve the quality of life for so many Central Florida residents.'
Supporting 56 programs for 35 area charities, Heart of Florida United Way is Central Florida's most comprehensive health and human services charity, and the largest funder for the region's most critical health and human services programs.
Collectively, employees from Adventist Health System's corporate services and AdventHealth are among the strongest financial supporters of Heart of Florida United Way.
