Thomas M. Shimshak, MD, board-certified interventional cardiologist and Medical Director of AdventHealth's Heart and Vascular Center, presents an informational free vascular lecture for anyone suffering from peripheral arterial disease (PAD) or chronic limb ischemia (CLI).
PAD affects nearly 20 million people. Symptoms can include pain, shiny smooth skin, non-healing sores, and pain or numbness of legs or feet. The presence of PAD reduces the quality of life and increases the risk for major cardiovascular events and death. Understanding PAD can improve your quality of life, reduce the risk of amputation and improve survival.
This one-hour free presentation begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 18th, at AdventHealth Wauchula, 735 South 5th Avenue, Wauchula, in the second floor Mildred Carlton Conference Room. Attendees with a prior diagnosis of PAD/CLI may qualify and register for a free second opinion with Dr. Shimshak. Please call the AdventHealth Helpline at Call863-402-3627 to register and reserve your seat.
