Culture. Mission. Compassion. Love. Faith. Family.
Those are just a few of the words AdventHealth team members used to explain why they find AdventHealth a great place to work. It is because of what team members surveyed had to say about their experience that AdventHealth has received Great Place To Work® Certification, an award based entirely on employee feedback.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team to creating an environment where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered to deliver the highest quality care,” said Olesea Azevedo, chief people officer and chief administrative officer for AdventHealth. “We are incredibly proud of this achievement, which underscores our belief that when we invest in our people, we strengthen our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.”
Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place To Work said, “Great Place To Work® Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience.” The certification provides instant recognition of a company as one having a great workplace environment for its employees, she added.
A random sampling of 5,000 team members across the organization were invited to take part in the Great Place To Work® survey. When it comes to company culture, 79% of team members say AdventHealth is a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company, according to Great Place To Work®. In clear alignment with the health system’s mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ, 89% agreed with the statement, “I feel good about the ways we contribute to the community,” followed closely, with 88%, by “When you join the company, you are made to feel welcome.”
