The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has named AdventHealth a 2020 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired award winner. The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program recognizes health care organizations for applying core and advanced technologies into their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities.
“Technology plays a critical role in the delivery and enhancement of care across our continuum. This has been amplified with the increased need for measures such as virtual visits, touchless registration and at-home monitoring due to the pandemic,” said Brent Snyder, chief information officer for AdventHealth. “Being recognized as a Most Wired health system is a testament to the organization’s intentionality around IT adoption and innovation, as well as the tremendous skill and commitment of our AIT team members.”
This is the eighth consecutive time that AdventHealth has earned the Most Wired designation for Acute Hospital IT. This year, AdventHealth received the Quality Award, the Level 8 certification on a 10-level scale for its deployment of technologies and strategies that help analyze data and achieve meaningful clinical and efficiency outcomes. AdventHealth also earned the Quality Award for the Ambulatory category for the first time.
CHIME has conducted the Most Wired program for the last three years. Organizations were represented in the 2020 Digital Health Most Wired program this year across four separate surveys: domestic, ambulatory, long-term care and international.
“Digital technology has been a driver of innovation in health care for many years now, but never to the degree that we saw in 2020 with the pandemic,” said CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell. “The Digital Health Most Wired program underscores why health care organizations keep pushing themselves to be digital leaders and shows what amazing feats they can achieve. This certification recognizes their exemplary performance in 2020.”
CHIME will publish an industry trends report based on Digital Health Most Wired responses from U.S. participants. The 2020 National Trends Report is scheduled to be released in November during CHIME20 Digital.
