CELEBRATION, Fla. — AdventHealth Celebration has broken ground on a new state-of-the-art patient tower, a significant milestone amid rapid population growth across Osceola and south Orange County.
The eight-story tower will include 80 progressive care beds and three operating rooms. The tower will also include shell space to accommodate future growth, including an eventual ER expansion and room for new services. The new tower will bring the hospital’s bed count to 437.
“This expansion is a testament to AdventHealth Celebration's dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our community, ensuring that residents have access to world-class clinical care close to home,” said AdventHealth Celebration CEO Amanda Maggard. “This new facility will enable us to serve residents and visitors alike, and provide tertiary services such as cardiac surgery and advanced neurosurgical care that previously would have required traveling out of our area.”
The hospital has recently celebrated notable clinical milestones, such as the fifth anniversary of the cardiovascular surgery program. This new tower will allow Celebration’s clinical team to build on those achievements.
“We are excited about the path Celebration is on, and where we are headed,” said Dr. Tarick Doleh, chief of the medical staff at AdventHealth Celebration. “The new patient tower will be equipped with cutting-edge technology and designed with patient-centered care in mind. Our goal is to create a healing environment that supports whole-person care – body, mind and spirit.”
The event also served as a commemoration of 30 years since the original groundbreaking for AdventHealth Celebration. The hospital, planned and created in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company, opened in 1997.
The tower is slated to open in late 2027. Hunton Brady is the architect on the project, and Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor.
