When To Head to the Closest Emergency Room

What to Expect When You Visit the Zephyrhills ER

We know you have lots of questions and our calm, knowledgeable emergency room staff members are here to answer every single one patiently and thoughtfully. We’ll have a few questions for you, too. We’ll ask for some basic information like your medical history and the reason for your visit. We’ll also check your vital signs so we can decide how best to help you moving forward.

We use a process called triage to help us determine the order in which we treat patients in the ER. This means someone suffering from a suspected stroke may receive care before someone not in a critical condition, even if that person arrived earlier. We do all we can to keep emergency room wait times as short as possible for everyone. You can trust that we’re fully committed to your care, and that our experienced team will do all they can to help bring you efficient emergency medical treatments.

To prepare for an emergency situation, you may want to consider keeping an information card with you at all times, perhaps in your wallet or purse. Helpful information includes the name of your primary care physician, a list of your medications and drug allergies, and an advance directive like a power of attorney or health care proxy.
