Jean C. Vel, MD, MSCI, is a board-certified OB/GYN who specializes in maternal-fetal medicine, providing care to patients ages 15 and older. He is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Vel earned his medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke’s Episcopal. He then completed a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Vel was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology because he finds it rewarding to improve maternal and fetal health outcomes and support a lifetime of well-being.
