Benjamin Johnston, MD

Benjamin Johnston, MD joined AdventHealth in 2025 and welcomes new patients ages 16 and over. Dr. Johnston brings Hepatobiliary and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery to the AdventHealth Cancer Institute. Dr. Johnston also regularly performs robotic Whipple’s, which offers smoother recovery, lower infections, and quicker time to adjuvant cancer treatment. Dr. Johnston received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine where he also completed his residency in general surgery. He later went on to complete a fellowship in hepatobiliary and pancreas surgery at Oregan Health and Science University.
