Biography

Dr. Edward D. Scanlan, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Scanlan attended medical school at St. George University in St. George, Grenada and completed his residency at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Dr. Scanlan has been a resident of Brandon his entire life and career and has been in private practice specializing in sports and preventative health medicine. He currently sits on the board of the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center and is the team doctor for Robinson High School.

Dr. Scanlan’s special interests include preventative care--focusing on nutrition, exercise and a healthy lifestyle, sports medicine and the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases.
