Dimitri Kaufman, MD

Dimitri Kaufman, MD, is an Interventional Cardiologist and board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine. Interventional cardiology, or coronary intervention, is the use of catheter-based treatment of heart disease. Dr. Kaufman uses this since it is a less-invasive alternative to open-heart surgery. Dr. Kaufman performs a wide range of services like angioplasty and stent placement. Dr. Kaufman attended Harvard Medical School for his medical degree and he received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Harvard’s Beth Israel Hospital and returned to Colorado for his fellowship training in Cardiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

In his free time, Dr. Kaufman spends time with his spouse and six children.

Dr. Kaufman believes that his patient's hearts are too precious to accept anything but the highest quality care. Dr. Kaufman strives to deliver state-of-the-art care, from simple preventive care to life-saving interventions that affect the structure and function of his patient’s hearts.
