Alexandra Sanguily, NP

Alexandra (Alex) Sanguily, NP, is a certified nurse practitioner specializing in orthopedic surgical care. She sees patients 18 and older for conditions like arthritis, degenerative disk disease, herniated disk, sciatica and spinal stenosis. She also focuses on osteoporosis treatment and prevention, partnering with patients to strengthen the bones and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. Alex’s family history is rooted in medicine. As she watched her father and grandfather, both surgeons, care for patients, she knew that was where she was also meant to be. She aims to be a hands-on provider and offer an empathetic and patient-centered approach to care, which can help patients heal beyond their physical health. Alex earned her master’s degree in nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with an emphasis in Adult Gerontology from Grand Canyon University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. Before becoming certified as a nurse practitioner, Alex worked as an emergency care nurse in the ER.

In her free time, Alex enjoys spending time with her dogs — taking them for hikes, to dog parks and paddleboarding. She strives to remain active, whether it’s going for a run, a CrossFit workout in her garage or using the Peloton. She values quality time with family and friends and always makes sure there is time for them.

Alex believes that communication is the foundation of a good patient-provider relationship. She hopes her patients feel they can speak with her freely and openly, so that she can understand them and treat them to the best of her ability. She helps her patients set realistic expectations and create personalized goals for their care, ensuring each treatment is tailored to their individual needs. She wants her patients to feel informed about their next steps in treatment and be active participants in their own care planning.
