Richard Cashio, MD

Richard Cashio, MD grew up in southern Louisiana, where he first developed a passion for science and medicine. Today, he is Flagler County’s only board-certified plastic surgeon, serving his community with nearly 20 years of dedication and distinction.

He earned a double major in Biochemistry and Microbiology and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University. On his very first visit to the operating room, he knew he had found his calling.

Dr. Cashio completed a general surgery residency at the University of Florida at Jacksonville, where he was captivated by how even the smallest surgical changes could have a profound impact. He then refined his skills through a Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where he performed more than 1,300 procedures during his training.

In 2007, encouraged by a former colleague, Dr. Cashio returned to northern Florida and opened his own practice in Palm Coast. Since then, he has combined surgical artistry with compassionate care to help patients look and feel their best.

He also offers a wide range of additional procedures, including arm lifts, male breast reduction, breast reconstruction, and eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). This is not a complete list of the services available through his practice.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Cashio is a college sports fan who enjoys cheering on his favorite teams. He is also a dog lover—after many happy years with his silver Labrador, he and his wife recently adopted a lively rescue puppy.

He values an active lifestyle, finding joy in physical activity, woodworking, time spent in the yard, and cooking. Most importantly, he treasures quality family time, which keeps him grounded and balanced.
