Luis Fernandez-Sifre, MD

Dr. Fernandez is Medical Director of the Placenta Accreta/Complex Obstetrical Surgery Program at AdventHealth for Women. This multidisciplinary team helps to coordinate care and provides life-saving surgical care. As an OB/GYN Hospitalist, Dr. Fernandez specializes in providing care for obstetrics patients within the hospital. His responsibilities include education, research and oversight of other staff physicians and providers within the graduate medical education. Dr. Luis Fernandez is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with over 30 years of experience. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine where he also completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency. He is fluent in Spanish. He is a member of the Pan American Society for Placenta Accreta Spectrum.
