Ioannis Loumiotis, MD

Ioannis Loumiotis, MD, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with advanced expertise in aortic and complex heart surgery. He specializes in valve-sparing root replacement, aortic valve repair, the Ross procedure, reoperative and high-risk cardiac surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and mitral valve repair. Before joining AdventHealth Orlando, he served as Director of Aortic Surgery at RWJ Barnabas Health in New Jersey. His training includes a medical degree from the University of Athens, residency at Saint Barnabas/Robert Wood Johnson, cardiothoracic fellowship at Montefiore/Albert Einstein, advanced aortic fellowship at Weill Cornell/NewYork-Presbyterian, and a research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Loumiotis is widely published and an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He is dedicated to providing advanced surgical care with compassion and respect for the whole person.
