Gadiel R. Alvarado, DO, is an infectious disease and internal medicine specialist with over 14 years of clinical experience. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Alvarado completed an internal medicine residency at D.D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Ft. Gordon, Georgia, where he served as chief resident. This was followed by an infectious diseases fellowship at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, Texas. Before joining AdventHealth, Dr. Alvarado was the chief of the infectious disease service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Alvarado served in the United States Army Medical Corps for 11 years, where he achieved the rank of Major. Most recently, Dr. Alvarado served as CEO and Co-founder of Clinical Telemedicine LLC and an infectious disease physician consultant at Eagle Telemedicine in Orlando, Florida. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed research publications, Military Medicine, HIV an COVID-19.
