Sonya Clark, DO

Sonya Clark, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced certification in hand surgery. She completed her medical training at The University of North Texas Health Science Center and pursued specialized fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Clark previously served as an orthopedic surgeon at East Tennessee Spine and Orthopedic Specialists and currently leads Upstate Hand Center. Her clinical specialties include hand surgery, upper extremity surgery and orthopedic trauma. Outside of medicine, she enjoys teaching, research and participating in professional societies including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Southeastern Hand Society.

Dr. Clark is married and enjoys spending time with her family and her labradors. She enjoys being active when not working, she enjoys training and competing in marathons and triathlons.

Dr. Clark's mission is to provide personalized, high quality care on an as-needed or emergent basis. She is dedicated to the restoration of function in her patient's hand and upper extremity and will explore all the latest non-surgical and surgical options for treatment. She believes that any decision for treatment should be made by the patient and physician together.
