Biography

Dr. Theus opened Northwest Georgia Surgical Associates in February 1995 in Calhoun, GA with an intense desire to develop a high-quality surgical department. Dr. Theus is a board-certified general surgeon. He is a graduate of Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, and the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his internship and residency at Caraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Theus is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Southeastern Surgical Congress. As a general surgeon, Dr. Theus focuses on abdominal surgeries, the treatment of gallbladder disease, appendectomy, hernia repairs, thyroid disorders, breast disorders, colonoscopies, EGDs and skin lesion.
