He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Upon completing his degree, Dr. Wilmot finished his residency in Urology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Wilmot completed a Fellowship in female pelvic floor reconstruction. He is fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
