Raquel Velazquez, APRN, is a board-certified adult-gerontology advanced practice registered nurse who has over 12 years of experience in critical care and hospital medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began her nursing education with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Florida. Raquel has held clinical positions across AdventHealth DeLand, Daytona Heart Group and Florida Kidney and Hypertension Specialists. Her volunteer experience includes mentoring teens in community service and tutoring nursing students. She is fluent in English and Spanish and a former recipient of the Florida Hospital DeLand Hero of the Year award. Raquel is dedicated to providing whole-person care to all her patients, considering body, mind and spirit.
