Shari Nieman Corso, NP

Shari Nieman Corso is a nationally recognized cardiovascular executive and dual board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 26 years of experience leading clinical care, strategy, and innovation. As Chief Clinical Officer for South Denver Cardiology Associates, she steers multidisciplinary operations across advanced provider practice, credentialing, nursing, specialty clinics, clinical support, procedure scheduling, and cardiac rehab teams. Her mission is bold and clear: to deliver high-quality care that feels like a small practice within a large system. Shari is known for building strong care teams, championing evidence-based innovation, and driving meaningful results. In 2024, Shari was honored as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC)—a prestigious distinction earned by a small number of nurse practitioners nationally. The following year, she completed the Wharton–MedAxiom Cardiovascular Business & Management Essentials Program, deepening her expertise in strategic growth, financial stewardship, and value-based care transformation. With high standards for clinical quality and operational excellence, Shari envisions a care delivery model that scales without losing soul—where patients experience the warmth of a neighborhood clinic within a high-performing cardiovascular system. Her leadership is also reflected in her national committee roles, board service, speaking engagements, and dedication to mentoring the next generation of APPs and healthcare leaders.

Outside the clinical and boardroom setting, Shari lives her values in the community. She has been married for over 20 years to her greatest teammate and is the proud mother of two amazing daughters. She is an avid skier, a lover of live music (especially at Red Rocks), and a committed volunteer for the Special Olympics and the National Sports Center for the Disabled, where she fosters inclusion, joy, and resilience through sport.
