Joel C. VanderVelde, MD, FACS

Joel C. VanderVelde, MD, FACS, is an experienced surgeon with AdventHealth Medical Group. Prior to joining AdventHealth, Dr. VanderVelde practiced general surgery at medical centers across northeast Kansas. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Ottawa University, Dr. VanderVelde earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed two general surgery residencies at Maricopa Integrated Health Systems and the University of Kansas Health Systems. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the American Society of Medical and Bariatric Surgeons.
