Ben Zimmerman, MD

Clark “Ben” Zimmerman, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who sees patients of all ages. As part of his primary care practice, he provides treatment for acute illness and injuries, chronic conditions and wellness care for every stage of life. Dr. Zimmerman, whose patients call him Dr. Ben, felt called to medicine because of the deep relationships it allows. He’s honored each time someone shares their story with him. He believes it's a great privilege to use his knowledge to make a meaningful difference in his patients’ lives. Dr. Zimmerman is a third-generation physician, now followed by his son, and he is grateful for the enduring value of this work. Dr. Zimmerman earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine in Denver and his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. He completed his residency in family medicine at Harrisburg Hospital in Pennsylvania, where he was the chief resident. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

In his free time, Dr. Zimmerman enjoys spending time with his wife, grandchild, and three children, as well as pursuing hobbies like fishing, gardening, cooking, pickleball, reading, stretching, exercise and travel.

Dr. Zimmerman believes the most important part of care is listening to each patient's story. Understanding the personal, social and emotional context behind a health concern is essential to providing meaningful care. He aims to offer thoughtful, individualized support that respects each patient's life and values.
