Barb Van Horne's nursing career began in 1975 with a BSN from Colorado University School of Nursing. She continued on to study and earn her Family Nurse Practitioner credential from Metropolitan State College in 1981. Having joined the South Denver team in 1983, Barb has been around long enough to see many life saving and preserving advances in cardiology. She is passionate about caring for the under-served and is appreciative that SDCA has supported her missions caring for people in the Amazon Jungle in Peru.

Barb is passionate about fitness and just finished another Ride the Rockies bike tour across Colorado. When she's not riding, you may see her working toward her goal to climb all of Colorado's 14ers.
