Bahri Bilir, MD, FAASLD

Bahri Bilir, MD, FAASLD, is a board-certified Transplant Hepatologist dedicated to providing the highest quality, individualized patient care. He is committed to addressing both the physical and emotional needs of each patient with compassion and expertise. Dr. Bilir earned his medical degree from Hacettepe University in Turkey. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, followed by his Internal Medicine residency at the State University of New York in Buffalo. He then went on to complete his fellowship in Hepatology at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Bilir chose the field of Hepatology to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while staying at the forefront of science and clinical medicine. The more he practices, the more he finds fulfillment in his work, viewing each patient encounter as both an opportunity and a privilege. He is deeply passionate about his profession and firmly believes that when you truly love what you do, it never feels like a chore, you are naturally inspired to teach, support, and care for others.
