Aliya Nurani MacDonald, MD

Aliya Nurani MacDonald, MD completed her medical degree and residency training at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia, where she served as Chief Administrative Resident. Dr. MacDonald is deeply committed to compassionate, evidence-based care. She has advanced training in robotics, maternal health, ethical medical practice and surgical techniques tailored to individual patient needs. Her clinical focus includes minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, high-risk pregnancies, postpartum pain management and patient education. She has earned recognition for research that prioritizes patient safety and well-being. Known for her warm approach and dedication to community outreach, she has volunteered extensively in health education and translation services. She speaks both English and Spanish. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys scuba diving, snow skiing and competitive swimming.
